POKER MOOVES

Check - Give the action to the next player without betting any money. But you stay in the game.
- shows some weakness
- can give you the next board card for free
- You just want to keep your game instransparent, since you would take this action with another hand.

Bet / raise- Betting money. There are several possible main intentions for a bet:
- you have a strong hand and want your oppenent to pay money into the pot
- you want your oppenent to fold, so that you win the pot directly. (With a semi-bluff you mainly want to make your oppent fold too)
- you want to find out how good your hand is compared to the hands of other players and look how your oppenents reacts to your bet.
- You want to protect your hand. So that some people fold, and your hand becomes less likelybeat by a hand that improves on turn or river.
- You just want to keep your game instransparent, since you would take this action with another hand.

Fold - Quit the hand. You do not longer participate in the pot. Folding can save you a lot money when your hand is beat or not worth to continue to play. It's easy to make a big pot with a good hand compared to see when you have a second-best hand and fold. So, one big difference from a winning player to a loosing player can be, that the winning player folds his loosing hands. That way he looses lees, what means, he wins more in the end.

Call - Paying the bet of another player. That way, you stay in the game. There are several possible reasons for a call:
- You think your hand is best in this situation often enough against this player to justify a call.
- You have a draw, that justifies a call of your oppenents bet amount in relation to the pot
- You have a strong hand and think your oppenent would fold to a raise. (slowplay)
- You have a hand and you think your oppenent is just bluffing. You want him to continue to bluff.
- You plan a bluff on a later "street" (turn or river)
- You think of a combination of the aboth intentions (like, see if the draw hits and if not you may bluff your oppenent)
- You just want to keep your game instransparent, since you would take this action with another hand.

reraise - raise the pot after the bet of another player again. (you're oppenent can raise again after you reraised too). Used spots for a reraise are:
- You have a strong hand and want to make the pot bigger.
- You want to test if your oppenent is really that strong.
- You want your oppenent to stop stealing pots from you
- You bluff or semi-bluff
- You just want to keep your game instransparent, since you would take this action with another hand.

check-raise - You first check to your oppenent, and reraise him if he raises. This is used if:
- You want to make the pot bigger: You have a good hand, want to show some weakness first, so that your oppenent bets. Then you reraise him. Commonly used moove against very aggressive players.
- You check-raise bluff your oppenent to keep him from stealing to many pots.

- You just want to keep your game instransparent, since you would take this action with another hand.
